A 360 degree turnaround

I nearly posted the song “Tears in Heaven” in this blog a few days ago when we were struggling that we nearly bring an end to the life of our baby when she is just 12 weeks in my wife’s body.

It was Monday evening that the OSCAR result reads a very high risk level that our baby is carrying Down Syndrome. That means it would be very likely that the baby would be having many troubles physically and mentally and a lots more …… and my wife would be very close to miscarriage.

We did another test at Tuesday late afternoon. The doctor when looked at the ultrasound screen and described from the nuchal scan and the nasal bone that it would be even sure that the baby would be …… he stopped and then said “let’s don’t think too much but see the result tomorrow." We were at a shock then and that night we prepared for the worst that we may not be able to see this little life anymore but just a few screens from the ultrasound! At that moment, our hope was gone. We were even planning the next few steps to do after this little life has gone …… how to tell our parents …… to cancel the hospital bookings …… throw away all the maternity apparels …… we pray to God for miracles ……

Miracles did happen. The nurse called on Wednesday afternoon (usually the doctor would call if bad news come) and said EVERYTHING SEEMS NORMAL. Oh! My God! We can still carry this baby! You know the words from the doctor doing the test on Tuesday nearly killed us! And we now know that she is a girl.

And her name will be Neroli.
