Tokyo trip Day 3

In Fall time, Japan is famous for its red leaves. On Saturday, we went to Ueno (上野) to see these beautiful red leaves. As Tokyo is rather warm this year, most of the leaves were still green and some of them just turned yellow. And we met this lovely cat at the garden. After that we went to the nearby market to buy some Japanese snacks before we went for the cameras.

At Akihabara (秋葉原), there were lots of shops selling games, DVDs and cameras. We tried to find Canon Powershot G7 for my wife’s brother but it was in all vain after asking for many many shops. It seemed that the camera was totalling out of stock in Tokyo as one salesman told me it was sold out on the first day when this model was launched in early October. Finally we could buy two Canon IXY 1000 (same as Canon IXUS 900 TS in HK). One is for ourselves and the other one is for her brother’s girlfriend.

At night time, we had dinner at Shinjuku with my wife’s ex-colleague which is a Japanese OL. As most of the local Japanese restaurant did not provide English menu, this Japanese friend could order the most local food for us!
