Walking Day

Yesterday after church service, I went to another church at Kwun Tong for site visit in preparation of next week’s Frontline performance. Initially I was thinking of going to APM Shopping Mall to take a lunch alone and went back home. While I was thinking about the program, I passed through the MTR gate and when I realized I got the wrong way, I was already standing at the MTR platform. So I called a friend to have a late lunch at Yau Ma Tei.

After lunch it was 2:45pm, I walked along Nathan Road to Tsim Sha Tsui. I have not walked on the street for window shopping for long. When I reached the Harbour City Mall, there was a small concert for a CD release of songwriters singing for their own songs and I met my friend Peter Kam. He was waiting for his performance. He sang two songs he wrote including “Perhaps Love”. It was very fresh to listen to his performance on this song instead of Jacky Cheung. Actually I like his singing … in a smoky voice even though he does not smoke. We chatted for a while but he got so many fans surrounding him asking for signature on CDs.

I enjoyed the show and left at about 4:30pm. Called my wife at Seattle to see her business trip before she went to bed. Then I dropped by HMV for a while and walked back Yau Ma Tei to Kwong Wah Hospital to visit a church friend who suddenly got a stroke Sunday morning. He was so upset to get heart attack at an early age of 26! Yes, he is too fat and he now realizes to take care of his health seriously.

I left the hospital and walked to Hunghom KCR station via Homantin. I had my dinner at the food court and I went back home eventually at 9:00pm. Too much walk yesterday, but I was not too tired. I could still finish a lot of house works at home before bed!
